He believes that approaching the world rationally is concern to being free. Freedom is a backbreaking word when it comes to what we accept our own mind to believe, but I believe he has a point. To thoughtlessly believe theories that are being tossed out on the internet or news articles without rationally intellection about it or researching it, is to lose your own independence and capacity to think. Judge builds his credibility by stating some examples of types of people, who for instance, believe that silver and capitalism are the problem with our society.

He moves on with his examples by pointing out the parents who are against teaching evolution to their children, and on the analogous note, the parents who refuse to allow their children to read the bible, both sets of parents restricting their childrens views because it is threatening to what they believe. He then goes on to point out the most common and up to date conspiracy theories we grant all heard at one point or another, such as the US government euthanizing the elderly or 9/11 was an inside job. In his editorial he slowly builds his credibility by starting with the smallest unopen minded views and moves on to the even bigger more cockamamy views, but shows how they are closely related.
