Civil Liberties: The 6th Amendment
Civil Liberties argon important for everyone to assume; however one that I believe is vital to whole American Citizens is the Sixth Amendment in the U.S Constitution. According to Karen OConnor and Larry J. Sabatos text American Government Roots and Reform 2009 Edition, the Sixth Amendment is farewell of the Bill of Rights that sets out the basic requirements of procedural delinquent process for federal courts to follow in criminal trials. These are speedy and public trails, impartial juries, and trials in the state where the law-breaking were committed, notice of the charges, the full to confront and obtain favorable witnesses, and the mightily to counsel. (OConnor 2009) The reason I selected this particular amendment, is because I strongly accommodate with it and believe that every criminal is inexperienced person until proven guilty. The defendant is innocent until proven guilty because the prosecutor can censure anyone of a crime but it is the evidence that they have that willing make the criminal guilty. This is extremely important, because I believe that it is foul for a mortal to go to imprison and spend part of their life if not all of their life in jail for a crime they did not commit.
