In this final year project, I respond in design a transcription for the Home Automatic System. It is very important to our project as if I potentiometernot finish it, we cannot confuse demonstration to our professor.
I use optical Basic 6(vb6) to carry through it, but at the beginning it is a new scheduleming language to me. So that I need to spend period to learn vb6. At the beginning, I face first challenge that a dll file need to implement in to the plan to connect PCs correspond port register, so that program can be transfer signal via parallel port. However it is another new programming language to me, I had waste a week to learn it, but unbosom cannot understand it, so I ease off rise a boastful decisionâ€"use exist file instead of make by self.
The following challenge is to make a web-server for the system. I had no idea on how to do it as a beginner of vb6. So I read books and search the net income in detail to make it. It is lucky that I rally a demo of use vb6s Winsock to create a web-server, after studying this demo program, I solved the problem. I also know much more about program with vb6, at final I finish making the system.
During this project, I had learnt lot of knowledge that not on the lesson, like Visual Basic 6, parallel port and Net working(a) etc.
On the other side, I also know how wireless RF working as I have spent a week condemnation to learn it, it is quite a a good experience to me.
Although my system can meet our project require, but it still can have lot of improvement, like growth the security of web-server, increase different port like USB port, work with camera (watch the correct on web-page). Make the user-interface more comfortable and beautiful. They need quite a lot of time to achieve it that I cannot do it in this year.
