Richard: The tragic hero of the story. He takes the crown from his brother.

Buckingham: A grand that aligned his with Richard, and helped Richard seize power.

Queen Elizabeth: wife to King Edward.

Anne: Richard takes her to be his wife.

Summary:

After a lengthened war of the roses, the people of England have enjoyed a short destination of peace under the rule of King Edward III. The only person unhappy in this time of peace is Richard. Richard is the power supperless little brother to King Edward. After some manifestation he hatches a bloody plot to usurp the throne. Although grossly deformed, Richard posses a great ability to manipulate people.
