Friendliness, neatness of workspace, and attitude be three points of bushel on the military rank form for the union being discussed in the scenario. Based on the kind of course the engineer holds, friendliness should not be an percentage point on the rating form. The engineers affair performance has zippo to do with friendliness. If this job was ground on customer dealing or customer service then friendliness would bind been a point of concern on the evaluation form. neatness of workspace has absolutely nothing to do with the engineers job performance. There be many people who have disorganise work areas; however it does not affect their job performance. neatness of workspace would only be of significance on an evaluation if that was an point within his or her job description. The last point of concern on the evaluation form is attitude. Even though an employee should perpetually have a positive attitude it is not an item that should be included on the engineers evaluation form because it has nothing to do with his job performance. The evaluation form being used by the plant manager does not outline the engineers job performance.
Due to the position that the evaluation is based on what the evaluator thinks or feels nearly the engineer the evaluation should not be used. The results on the evaluation form are not measurable. Behaviours, individual task outcomes and traits are the main items evaluated in a performance evaluation.
